Orlando Holmes - "My son's film "Birds" was selected to be screened at the delightful Blue Heelers Film festival. On arrival, we were met with warm local hospitality, the local Lions Club, I think, and then we were in the very capable hands of the students who organised and hosted the entire event. The university students were easy to identify in event t-shirts, they effortlessly coordinated the smooth running of the screening and musical performers. Brilliantly set up outdoors with an inflatable screen and stage, gorgeous tree lights and fantastic food. The films were curated to appeal to all ages (warning were provided before the screenings) making it a family-friendly event. Thank you all for your enthusiasm and for encouraging young people to enter a career in the creative industries."
